A fantastic loop through the Sierra de Gádor, passing scenic viewpoints and a former ore processing plant. Mining, with origins dating back to Roman and Carthaginian times, reached its peak in the mid-19th century. Today, only ruins and sinkholes remain, where mineral collectors are still active. The route is a circular one, with the same starting and ending point. There are no significant inclines, and the track is moderately gravelled. If you're traveling on a weekend, you can participate in a wine tasting (for passengers) at the end of the first gravel section (advance booking required). The second part (return journey) is less frequently traveled, but the track is well-maintained. It is partly lined with pine trees and tall grasses.
