Description Directly opposite our accommodation located on a peninsula we visit the castle of Ali Pasha. |
In today's stage we have only tar under the wheels. The first kilometers it goes along the coast, we always come to small sandy coves with crystal clear waters ideal for swimming. Always in view the high mountains. Passing a submarine bunker we come to a fantastic coastal Pass. |
The good pass road winds its way through several hairpin bends up to more than 1000 meters high, where it goes inside. The road has not much traffic, and if so, then we encounter a Mercedes, because 70% of the car's in Albania are Mercedes. |
Once back on the beach, we go to one of the many magnificent beaches bathing. The water in early July is pleasant and clear. Back on the bike, we reach a large city located by the sea. Here there is a lot of traffic and hustle and bustle. From there we continue north before we turn Inland. |

We see again and again foreign license plates, mostly from Albanians working abroad. But also tourists you meet now and again. In a larger village we visit a fortress on a mountain, which includes a small village. Entrance is equivalent 1.2 euros, but it's worth the fortress walls and narrow streets to explore. Even small cafes there are here, where you can also eat a little something. |
After an extended tour we drive to a small hotel (B & B). Located near the 2.400 meters high Mount Tomori, we want to drive on the next morning without luggage. |
