It is another beautiful July day as we ride past numerous fjords, crossing them via bridges and ferries. |

| The route is very quiet, with almost no traffic. In a larger village, we stop for lunch and a short sightseeing break before continuing our journey toward the glacier. |

| We head south along a fjord, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The mountains reflect in the calm water, the weather is perfect, and finally the mighty glacier appears in front of us. |

| About 300 meters before the tourist center, we reach the campsite. We set up our tent so that the glacier remains in full view at all times. The campsite attracts travelers from all over the world and even has a sauna, which is perfect for warming up in the evening. We take a rest day here and hike the 2 km trail to the glacier. Horse-drawn carriage rides are also available. At the glacier’s edge, guided glacier hikes with ice axes and crampons are offered, which we join for about €60. The 1.5-hour glacier walk is an unforgettable experience. Back at the campsite, we buy a souvenir in the shop before continuing our journey north the next day. |
