| A paved mountain road climbs steadily upward. Along the way, we pass a lake that can still be covered with ice even in summer. At a small toll booth, a few euros are paid before continuing on the non-asphalted section up to the viewpoint. Even in summer, this stretch can sometimes be covered in snow. |

| From up here, the views are absolutely breathtaking. We are never alone, as this is one of Norway’s most popular tourist destinations. Despite strong winds, we stop for a short break and enjoy a snack while admiring the scenery. We then descend the pass toward Geiranger Fjord and continue further to the Trollstigen mountain road, which is also on today’s itinerary. |
