| On our route, we pass a toll snow road that should not be missed. The pass climbs up to 1,400 meters above sea level. Even in July, snowfall is possible here. While the paved road is usually clear during summer, massive walls of snow still line both sides. The contrast is extreme: just 30 minutes earlier it was warm, and now temperatures have dropped below freezing. The towering snowbanks feel almost overwhelming, as if they are closing in on us. After a short photo stop, we continue downhill, where temperatures quickly become more comfortable again. |
