Trail conditions:
For the first 4 km, the track is 1.2–1.5 lanes wide, has a difficulty rating of 2–3, and winds through a small mountain range. We encountered hundreds of sheep. This is followed by a 1.1 km long section (paved road). After that, the trail immediately becomes a wider track again. This track is a maximum of 1.5 lanes wide, with a difficulty rating of 2–3. Branches may overhang the road (at a height of 2.80 m), but these are usually easy to avoid.

Conclusion:
The BA17 trail is somewhat rockier and has several sections rated at difficulty level 3. The route leads through a sunken lane, across a plateau, through forest, fields, and along avenues of walnut trees. Griffon vultures occasionally circle overhead.
